Conservative Christian objections to contraception, emergency contraception, and even abortion can be traced to their objections to "irresponsible" sexual activity. They believe that any attempt to avoid pregnancy is really an attempt to avoid the consequences of one's "irresponsible" choices. That, too, is irresponsible itself - in part because it makes further irresponsible choices even easier. It follows, then, that people should be forced to bear those consequences. In the context of sexual activity, this includes women accepting pregnancy.
