According to some traditions,
Joseph of Arimathea travelled to Britain and buried the Holy Grail in Glastonbury hillside. A spring appeared on that very spot where the waters run red because they first flow through the grail, becoming colored by Christ's blood. Today a monastery is located at the top of the hill and there is a Chalice Well, protected by an elaborately decorated lid with a Vesica Pisces on it. The waters are red, but because of the heavy amounts of iron oxide in the soil.
