Myth: Atheists Have No One to Thank When Feeling Thankful, Happy Oct 15th 2011, 15:00 Religious theists, and especially Christians, are often giving public thanks to their god for one thing or another. For that reason, I suppose, they seem to have trouble imaging that irreligious atheists who don't believe in any gods would have anyone to thank. The truth is, though, we do -- it's just that we can thank the people who are directly responsible for whatever good fortune we are thankful for.
