Humanism is a philosophy focused on the concerns of humans (including human needs, human desires, and human experiences). This can mean giving humans a privileged place in the universe on account of their abilities and faculties. Humanism is not so much a philosophical system, set of doctrines, or specific system of beliefs as it is more an attitude or perspective on life and humanity. This perspective in turn influences various philosophies and belief systems.
