If the traditional, omnipotent god of western religion existed, would it also have to be held accountable and responsible for everything that happens? A majority of Americans agree that their god controls everything which, logically, should entail believing that their god is also responsible for everything. You can't have control without responsibility. What do you think?
It's rare that Christians actually accept the logical consequence of this belief. The logic is airtight, but Christians still deny that God has any responsibility for anything bad -- even if they say in the next breath that God is in control and has a plan. Christians cannot abandon the idea that God is in control, but they also cannot abandon the idea that God is perfectly good.
